Dr. Mukansi, fondly known to her patients as Dr. Hanyi, began her medical career in general practice, where she gained extensive experience and pursued postgraduate qualifications in pediatrics and HIV management. Her passion for dermatology led her to specialize in the field, completing her registrar training at UKZN in 2011 and earning both a fellowship and a Master’s degree in Dermatology.

Since 2015, she has been practicing as a dermatologist in Johannesburg, offering general dermatology services such as skin cancer screening and the management of skin, hair, and nail disorders. Her practice also provides cosmetic and aesthetic treatments, ensuring a comprehensive approach to skin health.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Mukansi is passionate about teaching and contributing to the field of dermatology. She lectures undergraduate medical students and mentors postgraduate dermatology students at the University of Pretoria, playing an active role in shaping the next generation of dermatologists.
